This one night event will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008, from 6pm till 10PM in Gallery 209. There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door (Remember it’s a fundraiser!) for a night of art and camaraderie in the art community. Proceeds will go to the Ellis -VanPelt family for improvements planned for their Old Santaella Cigar Factory at 1906 North Armenia Avenue.

Wifredo Lam in North America features works by the celebrated 20th century Cuban-born artist. Myth in Dalí’s Art features a selection of works from the museum’s permanent collection.

Opening Reception: November 14, 2008 6:00 p.m. – Late

Starting at 6:00PM, the reception will provide the public with an opportunity to expose themselves with numerous works of contemporary art.
All of the featured artists are exploring a broad collection of discourses and mediums including sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, performance, and video.
Along with the collection of contemporary art and meeting the artists, please join us to enjoy appetizers, refreshments, and music.
